Overview

iheic.com is a browser-based image conversion toolkit. All file processing happens entirely on your device using WebAssembly technology. We do not upload, store, or transmit your files to any server.

Data We Do NOT Collect

  • Your files — Photos, images, and documents you process are never uploaded. They remain in your browser’s memory and are discarded when you close the page.
  • File contents — We have no access to the content of any file you convert, view, or edit.
  • EXIF / GPS data — Metadata from your photos is processed locally and is never sent to us.

Data We May Collect

Analytics (Anonymous)

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how our tools are used. This may include:

  • Pages visited (not file contents)
  • Browser type and screen size
  • Country-level location (from IP, not stored)
  • Referral source

We do not use analytics to identify individual users or track personal behavior.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies for:

  • Remembering your language preference
  • Storing your conversion settings (quality, metadata mode) in localStorage

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

Third-Party Services

  • CDN / Hosting — Our static site is served via a content delivery network. Standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) may be retained temporarily by our hosting provider.
  • No third-party file processing — Unlike many online converters, we do not send your files to any external API or cloud service.

Data Retention

Since we do not collect personal data or files, there is nothing to retain or delete. Your conversion settings stored in localStorage can be cleared by clearing your browser data.

Children’s Privacy

iheic.com does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13.
